I am an artist who is sensitive to materials and curious about the world. Sometimes my hands understand what I’m making before my eyes and intellect can catch up. I use an eclectic range of materials, handcraft techniques, and cultural sources.  My media varies from household paints, children’s pastels, and wood veneers to egg tempra, handmade papers, and traditionally rendered inks. The doll-like creatures I use in my sculpture, street art, and large scale collages are inspired by both the Riot Grrl movement and science fiction fandom. My paintings and prints are an absurdist deconstruction of the female form.
