Alyson Maderson Quinlog is a native of Charleston, SC who received her BFA in Photography from Winthrop University in 2002 and studied Art History at Old Dominion University in 2007. From late 2007 until 2013 Ms. Maderson Quinlog lived in Hawaii and later Japan. While living in Honolulu, Hawaii Ms. Maderson Quinlog exhibited photography of Waikiki’s urban landscapes. In Japan, she explored the Harajuku and Shibuya districts of Tokyo that are world renowned for street culture. Ms. Maderson Quinlog documented the street art there from 2012-2013 on her blog shokunin-no-shashin.tumblr.com. A collection of these photographs was purchased by The Roth group representing 281_Anti_Nuke who is known as “the Bansky of Japan.” She recieved a Post Baccalaureate (Painting) in 2015 at Lyme Academy College of Art in Old Lyme, CT and is currently an MA candidate in the TLAD program at Rhode Island School of Design in Providence, RI. Her work is currently on exhibit along the Connecticut shoreline and in NYC.
